ROD & GUN CLUB Savannah Lakes Rod and Gun Club Holds Dinner Meeting Seminar by KEN WILES

THE SAVANNAH LAKES Rod & Gun Club hosted a dinner seminar at the River Grille on “The Management of Fish Species on Lake Thurmond,” which was arranged by Josh Sandt and Bob Vose presentation was by Mrs. Amy Breedlove Chastain. Amy covered the species that the DNR manages which includes: large mouth bass, spotted bass, striped bass, hybrid bass and black crappie. The stocking on Lake Thurmond is a joint effort between South Carolina and Georgia. The goal is to stock striped bass and hybrid bass at a rate of 15 fish per acre. This year




The Thurmond Lake Sail and Power Squadron held its annual Change of Watch event on 12 November 2016 at the Savannah Lakes Village Recreation Center. USPS District 26 representative Stf/C Bill O’Neill officiated the installation of the 2017 Commander, Bridge and Committee Members.•

is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Fish and Wildlife Biology. Presently she is a Region 1 Fisheries Biologist with the SCDNR and works on projects on Lake Hartwell, Lake Greenwood, Lake Russell and Lake Thurmond.•
