from heaven to earth to teach the princi- ples of the kingdom of heaven and to pre- pare the people of the earth so that people can enter the kingdom of heaven. There is nobody in the Bible who speaks more about heaven and hell than Jesus as he had been to both and experienced it. The first mes- sage of Jesus before his death and the last

ur God is a Triune God- God the Fa- ther, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Sin entered the world through Adam; thus, humanity lost its fellow-

ship with God. Through the sacrifice of Christ, God has restored that which was lost in the Garden of Eden; that is the right relationship with God.

hy do we need the gift of the Spirit? He comes into our lives to save us, sus- tain us and strengthen us.

ow can we receive the gift of the Spirit? Acts 2:38 says “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus’ physical birth was essential to receive the Holy Spirit because no one is worthy to receive the Holy Spirit. • Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” • 1 John 1:7b:“The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” • John 7:39: “But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet giv- en, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” • 2 Corinthians 6:16: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

Once we are saved and have the indwell- ing Spirit, then we may be filled with the Holy Spirit. The filling of the spirit is God’s control- ling presence in our lives.

hat should we do after receiving the gift of the Spirit? Acts 1:8 says

“But you shall receive power when the Holy 7

message of Jesus before his ascension were about the kingdom of heaven.

Thus, Jesus mediated between God and hu- manity, between Jews and the Gentiles and between heaven and earth, so that we love God and love our neighbor to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

True religion begins at home. You are a mis- sionary in your community and in all Judea and Samaria (your State and your country), and to the end of the earth.”

During the season of Advent, may the Holy Spirit lead us into all truth that we may do the will of our heavenly father, only then this Christmas will become a meaningful one.
