CONCERNS about the future


of the council’s social services building at Minaeron have been partially allayed. Speaking at a council meeting


on October 18, Cllr Alun Williams suggested that several parties had expressed an interest in taking on the building, and said: “There is optimism of a sale and the building is very likely to remain in the public sector and that, in my opinion, would be the best outcome.” While Cllr Williams declined


to identify the public sector organisation, The Herald has established that Hywel Dda UHB is the public sector body and is competing with private organisations for the building, together with at least one third sector organisation.
