DAY 1: Palermo. Individual arrival. In the late afternoon meeting point with the Tour Manager A fter a welcome cocktail, a pleasant stroll will take you to the very heart of Palermo. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnight. DAY 2: Palermo and Monreale. Street food, triumphs of Christianity and Nero d’Avola. After breakfast walking tour dedicated to local street food.In the early afternoon, a short drive will take you to Monreale, a small town overlooking the Golden Basin. After the visit of the Duomo and the Cloister departure for Menfi and check in at Foresteria Planeta. A welcome cocktail will be followed by a four-course dinner, accompanied by an accurate selection of Planeta wines. DAY 3: Selinunte and Portopalo. Hands-on cookery, Magna Graecia and sea breeze scent. After breakfast, meet the chef for " Le mani in pasta "hands- on cooking class to learn how to use traditional ingredients to prepare a lavish five-course meal. At lunch, two different wines selected by the sommelier will accompany the result of your efforts. In the afternoon, departure for Selinunte, to visit Europe’s largest archaeological park. At the end of the visit, return to Planeta Estate. In the evening drive to Portopalo beach for a dinner in a restaurant locally renowned for the freshness of its fish. DAY 4: Sambuca. Arab roots, ricotta and heritage grapevines. Breakfast and departure for Sambuca, one of the leading members of the Italian Board of Historical Towns. Just outside the town, we will visit the Palermo Brothers farm and dairy factory. Not far from Sambuca, lies Planeta Ulmo vineyard and winery. After a tour of the premises, a tasting of four different wines will fulfill our desire to deepen the knowledge of wine and vine training. DAY 5: Agrigento and Noto. Breakfast and departure for Agrigento. The magnificent temples that dominate the ancient town are among the most extraordinary representations of Doric architecture in the world. At the end of the visit, cocktail and buffet on a terrace overlooking the temples. Departure to Noto a perfect and unique sample of Sicilian Baroque city. Check in at Masseria della Volpe. A welcome cocktail will be the opening of a dinner based exclusively on products coming from the surroundings. DAY 6: Modica and Ragusa. Baroque, chocolate and hidden trasures. Breakfast and departure for Modica. This lovely town is a delight for art and treatlovers, with its outstanding number of Baroque churches and its as well outstanding chocolate local production. Visit of the Bonajuto’s chocolate factory. Departure for Ragusa and its Ragusano DOP, a firm stretchedcurd cheese made with whole milk from cows of the Modicana breed. After a tour of Ragusa Ibla center, return to the Masseria and, in the early evening, a short drive will take you to a nearby winery for a visit and a wine tasting accompanied by some locally-grown products. DAY 7: Taormina and Mount Etna. Charm, wines and volcanic blessings. Breakfast and departure for Taormina. The name of this delightful little town has become synonym of style and elegance and a walking tour will reveal how alluring the result can be when fashion and history overlap in a breath taking scenery. Lunchtime at the Barone di Villagrande Estate. Visit of their vineyards and winery and wine tasting .After lunch, you 'll drive along the slopes of Mount Etna up to the astronomical observatory, to enjoy dramatic views of the mountain . Dinner and overnight at the Donna Carmela resort. DAY 8: Breakfast and departure for Catania or Palermo. End of services.

DAY 1: Palermo. Arrival at Palermo airport and transfer to your hotel on your own. Welcome dinner dedicated to the products of the Slow Food Presidia of Sicily. Transfer to your hotel and overnight stay. (D). DAY 2: Erice, Marsala. Departure for Erice, a magnificent medieval city in a spectacular setting. Walk through the streets of the center of the town and visit the Pasticceria Maria Grammatico, an old pastry shop that offers recipes from the Antico Convento.Try some of the typical local delights. Proceed to Marsala, the city renowned for its production of the wine of the same name. Lunch in a typical local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Donnafugata’s historic cellars, a living example of industrial archaeology where you can admire the fascina- ting underground barrique room and the processes of wine refinement. Free time.Return to the hotel and overnight stay. (BB, T, L, T). DAY 3: Palermo. Monreale In the morning, visit the famous old Capo Market, in the ancient heart of this thriving city and free time. In the afternoon a guided tour to visit and seek out signs of Palermo and its ancient "grandeur". Transfer to Monreale, ancient village near Palermo, famous for its wonderful Norman Cathedral and the adjoining cloister, architectural masterpieces of King Roger. Return to the hotel, overnight stay. (BB). DAY 4: Agrigento, Caltagirone, Syracuse. Departure for Agrigento for a guided tour of the amazing Valley of the Temples, testament to the ancient Greek civilization in Sicily. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon visit Caltagirone famous for the production of ceramics and pottery: visit of a ceramics laboratory and opportunity of shopping. Departure for Syracuse, check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay. (BB, D). DAY 5: Ragusa, Modica, Noto, Syracuse. Departure to Ragusa. Guided visit of the city, built in a region that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Proceed to Modica, the ancient capital of the county which once again is full of amazing examples of architecture that pay homage to the old Sicilian baroque style. We suggest a stop at the Antica Pasticceria Bonajuto (an old pastry shop). Sample some of the typical dishes accom- panied by local wines at Trattoria La Locanda del Colonnello. Before returning to Syracuse stop in Noto to taste the famous almonds. Overnight in Syracuse. (BB, L, T). DAY 6: Syracuse, Mount Etna, Taormina. A morning guided of Syracuse, one of the most important and strategic political centers in ancient Greece, visit the archaeological park and walk around the heart of the old city - Ortigia. Departure to Taormina, stopping on route for a wine tasting in Mt. Etna area. Proceed to your hotel in Taormina. Check in and free time. Overnight stay. (BB, T) DAY 7: Taormina. In the morning, a guided tour to discover Taormina, the small medieval village called "the pearl of the Ionian Sea" and visit to the Roman - Greek theatre. Time at leisure. Farewell dinner and overnight night stay. (BB, D) DAY 8: Departure After breakfast, free time. (BB)
