Junior Development U3-U4 (Ages: 3-4) Uses a 36’ court and foam balls concentrating on introduction to tennis, racquet face control, ball bounce judgment, space management, initiate rallies, agility, balance, coordination.


U6 (Ages: 5-6) Uses a 36’ court and foam balls concentrating on racquet face control, ball bounce judgment, space management, rallying skills, play & score, agility, balance, coordination.


U8 (Ages: 7-8) Uses a 36’ court and foam balls concentrating on racquet face control, receiving skills, rallying skills, play and score, court movement, agility, balance, coordination.


U10 (Ages: 9-10) Uses a 60’ court and low compression balls concentrating on receiving skills, rallying skills, ball receiving and placement, play & score, court movement, agility, balance, coordination.


Racquet Sizes: 25”-26”


U14 (Ages: 11-14) Uses a progressive format, 60’ to full court size and low compression balls concentrating on receiving skills, rallying skills, ball receiving and placement, play and score, tennis strategy, court movement, agility, balance, coordination.

The Junior Progressive Training System follows the new and revolutionary USTA standards for 10 and Under Tennis. Our program is designed to shape all players into the best competitors they can be. From introducing strong fundamentals to beginners to honing the skills of experienced players, producing top competitors, the Oak Brook Junior Development Pathway will produce results. 10 & Under Tennis Academies The 10 & Under Tennis Academy features a Game Based Approach concentrating on tactical strategy, modern technical development, agility-balance-coordination and court movement.


U8 Academy: Designed for competitive junior players ages 7-8 using a 36’ court size and low compression foam red balls.


U10 Academy: Designed for competitive junior players ages 8-10 using a 60’ court size and low compression red and orange balls.


High School Training High School Training groups feature a Game Based Approach concentrating on tactical strategy, modern technical development, and court movement.


High School Prep Academy: Designed for junior players ages 12-15 preparing to compete on a Freshman High School Team. High School Academy: Designed for High School players ages 14-18 that belong to a High School team.

High Performance Academy We are proud to host one of the most prestigious High Performance Tennis Academies in the state for players ages 10-18. Led by Tom Lockhart and high performance coaches, our Academy features a Game Based Approach and live ball practice as a coaching philosophy. The High Performance Academy follows a three level structure.


Futures Academy: Designed for young junior players ages 9-12 competing in USTA tournaments 10’s and 12’s divisions. The Futures Academy uses a progression of orange to green dot to standard tennis balls.


Challenger Academy: Designed for junior players ages 11-14 competing successfully in USTA tournaments 12’s and 14’s divisions.


Tour Academy: Designed for junior players ages 13-18 competing successfully in USTA Midwest and National level tournaments.
