costs £7.50 for adults and £5 for young people under 16, and entrance for under 3s is free. The zoo is open from March 24 until November 1, and is situated next to Rheidol Visitors centre on the A44. Visitors to the Butterfly House can also take in the spectacular views of the Rheidol Valley and the majestic hydroelectric plant – that also boasts a visitor centre.

The Magic of Life Butterfly House


is an all-weather butterfly zoo and visitor attraction near Aberystwyth. The zoo consists of a central exhibit with 30 different types of butterflies on display at any one time, and up to 80 species during the opening season (March until October). There are also a selection of insects in the reception room of the house, including praying mantis, beetles, stick insects and giant caterpillars,


town with a whole host of things to do and see. The town centre is full of a variety of local shops and popular stores and also has a brilliant student vibe, with a lot of great bars and restaurants. Visitors flock to the rural town every summer season and there are variety of hotels and B&Bs to accommodate the booming tourism industry – with the quaint hotels on the waterfront being a fantastic choice.
