Zippy isa13year old Ex racehorse thatwe’ve retrained to be an all rounder.WedoCounty LevelShowing,Elementary level dressage,huntertrials and other fun events. Werecently attendedaRetraining of Racehorses (ROR)Training Camp&Competition, organised by our Regional CoordinatorClarePoole,atthe David BroomeEventCentreinWales (3rd-6thMay). Thirty- twoRetrained Ex Racehorses took partandwehad twodaysoftraining fromsome amazing trainers. Onthe competition day,Martin and Zippywon the BestTurnedOut, came3rdinthe In hand Retrained Racehorse class and 5th in theNoviceRidden Show Class.Threeweeks beforeCamp,Zippyhad to have sinus surgeryand had twoholes drilled in the frontofhis skull.Luckily he isaquick healer andwas back inwork only 10 days afterthe surgery. Itwasa major achievementjust to attend Racehorse Camp and thenwewere luckyenough to comehome“In the Ribbons”too!”
