A LEGACY OF HOPE
Supporters help provide for the future of Manchester Bidwell Corporation You believe that people are born
as assets, not liabilities—that a beautiful, safe environment fosters creativity and hope. You’ve seen this vision and the Manchester Bidwell Corporation education model transform the lives of the youth and adults who have been students here. What began as the vision of one
man, has grown to include the hopes of many. Each year we rely on your generous support, along with the gifts of many others, to help us carry out our work. One of the ways our donors are helping to ensure a solid future for MBC’s students and programs is to include a gift to MBC or one of its affiliates in their estate plans.
Supporters who have made such
a provision have made an investment in the future of our programs and our community. We recognize these visionary individuals as members of our Legacy of Hope Society. Included in this forward thinking group are Stephen McClure and Debra Gift as well as the late Gerri Kay. Mr. and Mrs. McClure are MCG
Jazz subscribers who appreciate the full breadth of the programming at MBC and chose to support Bidwell Training Center in their estate plan. “Debra and I have always been so impressed with what Bill Strickland has created in Manchester Bidwell and all he has done in
community over the years,” said Stephen. “We know how important it is that this work continues and that these programs continue to be available and thrive into the future. That is why it was important for us

to include Bidwell Training Center in our estate plans.” Gerri Kay was a MCG board member as well as a wonderful friend and supporter of MCG Jazz. Her family is proud of the legacy she has left with us. They recalled, “Gerri loved jazz and sought it out wherever she went. Every year, for many years, she exuberantly renewed her subscription to the MCG Jazz series because MCG brought in—and continues to bring in—jazz artists who are rightfully called ‘the greats.’ Having regular access to excellent jazz in her home city was more than a source of pride and joy for Gerri: she believed it was important. She included MCG Jazz in her estate planning because she wanted to help make sure that MCG’s world-class presentation of jazz remained available in the city of Pittsburgh.” We hope you will consider including MBC in your estate plans as part of your own legacy. If you have already done so, please let us know so that we can thank you and welcome you as a member of the Legacy of Hope Society.
