Dalicious Dhal with Oxford Spires

Chopping onions for the bahjis and mint for the raitha starts early at this Asian haven for vegetarians. That’s OK because you can have a sit-down while chopping. Exceptionally good value, especially the ‘Special’ of Dahl, Bhaji and Chappatti. Well supplied with volunteers from Bicester and Thatcham Rotary and a variety of other organisations to take the heat out of frying and cooking.

‘Chutney Tent’ displays Rotary projects and activities include Purple4Polio hand prints. Guest appearance of Horns of Plenty street band was a special bonus!

Witney’s Pig Roast – the butcher’s choice

Very professional set-up with well-drilled brigade and great presentation. They must have done this before! Very clear signage, so mistakes about going to the wrong end of the queue are unlikely. Tasty local farm-fed pork with crispy crackling and all the trimmings.

Rotary offers a great choice of food at a very reasonable price. Lots of compliments on social media from loyal customers who like the feel- good factor of raising funds for charity, being well fed at an affordable price and also enjoy getting their hands painted purple!

And then of course there is the Music ........... ....... and all the Fun of the Fair that makes this friendly Festival a great weekend
