utlerstown Art Group present their latest exhibition “Land, Sea & Sky at the Copper Coast UNESCO Global Geopark

Visitor Centre with an official launch on August 6th at 3pm. The Exhibition will be officially opened by Julian Walton, renowned broadcaster, historian and writer. During the afternoon of the Official Opening, the Visitor Centre will also host an ‘ART ON THE RAILINGS’ event from 1pm to 5pm. Butlerstown Art Group was formed about 5 years ago, having studied art together under the guidance of tutor Catherine O’Connell at the Waterford College of Further Education, and Catherine continues to tutor the group today. They meet every Thursday in Fr. Rufus Halley


s part of his “Home for the Summer” tour Kieran Goss will

be performing at The Tramore Coast Guard Station on Friday 26th August along with special guest Annie Kinsella. Goss is one of the most respected Irish singer-songwriters who has worked in the past with Elvis Costello, Christy Moore and Joe Jackson, as well as Mary Black who has recorded a number of his songs. He has more recently completed a

very successful duo tour with Frances Black.

THIS MONTH, WE’RE.... Release

of Suicide Squad – There has been so much hype about this movie it seems to be coming forever. Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie in pigtails with a lust for blood. Yessssss please!

Stranger Things on Netflix –

This very creepy but utterly riveting series is set in the 80s and is a throwback to all our fave 80s movies like the Goonies, Gremlins and Poltergeist but a lot darker. Starring Winona Ryder.

Kieran Goss at The Tramore Coast Guard Station – 26th August

aterford Youth Arts have been producing fabulous original pieces

of work in Waterford for over 30 years and they are delighted to present this world Premiere of One Hundred Thousand Breaths, an original work by Martina Collender, directed by Liam Meagher. Liam and Martina pair up again after having worked previously on the Crotty the Robber play at last summers Comeraghs Wild Festival. One Hundred Thousand Breaths is a glimpse at the lives of people living and working and not working and thinking and dreaming and wishing and sipping coffee and asking questions and messing and panicking and picking up pieces of each other. The piece has come out of the creativity of the young people who are current members of WYA.
