Arthur - Modbury Office team member Luscombe Maye shine at Yealmpton Show

THE RAIN held off, the clouds parted and the sun shone down on Luscombe Maye’s stand with their new marquee at this year’s Yealmpton Show, winning them second prize for ‘Best Trade Stand’. The local estate agent, which has seven branches including one in Yealmpton, was also joined by its Rural Professionals team, which specialises in farms, land and rural planning. Guests at the Luscombe Maye stand were invited to see a showcase of property, connect with the team and enjoy a drink at tables overlooking the parade ring. “The Yealmpton Show is a great opportunity for Luscombe Maye to get out into the local community and meet face-to-face with people to talk about any of the wide range of services we can offer,” said Jason Hooper, associate partner and branch manager of Yealmpton.

Auctioneer and old friend drops by the office

“Our specialist staff were available to discuss lettings, property sales across Plymouth and the South Hams, agricultural payments, land, planning and new homes in an relaxed informal environment. It was a busy and rewarding day”.

JUST THREE weeks after opening their new office in Fore Street, Kingsbridge, Jean Goodman estate agents has got off to a brisk start selling several properties and taking a number of new instructions. In addition to its regular estate agency business Jean Goodman is also offering a service to clients wishing to sell by auction. Auctioneer and old friend Graham Barton popped in to visit the office this week. Graham is regularly seen on TV’s Homes under the Hammer and represents one of the country’s busiest land and property auction houses.

Graham’s company offers a specialist land and property auctioneering service, and unlike local auctioneers who have small sales in village halls, they hold regular high profile auctions at major venues attracting large numbers of purchasers from all over the country. He will be working closely with Jean Goodman where sale by auction is required. Auction catalogues are available nationally from participating estate agents’ offices including Jean Goodman and up to 25,000 are distributed to potential purchasers for each auction. The higher the number of bidders, the better the chance of a good price being achieved.

In addition, any property offered for auction by Jean Goodman will be featured on Rightmove and their own website www.jeangoodmanestates.co.uk

Any property can be sold at auction but most suited to this type of sale are parcels of land, property in need of renovation or with potential for development or particularly unusual lots. Any enquiries should be made to 01548 857422 or call into the office at 109 Fore Street, Kingsbridge for an informal chat.
