The Hopbine News fromWigley Orchard and StMichaels Caravan Parks • August 2016 • Issue 60 Ready to Stroll On again?
Brian’s boots have come out again as he trains for his annual sponsored walk. At the moment he’s planning to take the same route as last year, which was pop- ular with the walkers
and not too demanding! Walkers will leave Wigley Orchard at
10am on Sunday 28th August and return to Bank House for a drink, a hot dog and a sit down. We invite all caravan owners to join us at about half past one for re- freshments. Please let us know if you would like to
join the walk or come for the fun after- wards by emailing Sandra
. This year we are raising money for
Cancer Research UK. Sponsor forms are available at the
house or by email so get your walking boots on, get training and get fund raising

John and Hannah ready to welcome visitors to our stand
Once again we all took a turn at manning our stand at the Wigley Orchard show weekend at Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury. Many thanks to all our owners who
came to support us during the weekend. Alison and Paul White won first prize
for the Wigley Orchard quiz with a score of 9 (see overleaf). Scott Higgins of Salop Leisure was the runner-up. Many thanks to all the Salop Leisure
staff for their help and support, especially Nigel, Scott, Tanya and Susan.
Dan Portsmouth, John’s good friend and best man at his wedding, has joined us as an occasional deck builder, gate maker etc.
for this very worthwhile cause. To donate online go to www.justgiving.com/Sandra-Grif-
Last year we raised over £1,500. We’ve
already received our first pledge of £10, so we’re on our way!

The British Holiday and Home Parks Association Heart of England Branch held its sum- mer meeting at the Fountain Inn on Oldwood Common before visiting St Michaels. The park was looking its very best and drew admiring comments from the visitors,
who were mostly local caravan park owners. Well done to John, Hannah and Liz for all their hard work. Our photograph shows members of the BH&HPA at the park. Brian is somewhere in the picture - can you spot him?
