Mother’s Day Weekend

Saturday, May 13 | Race begins at 8am | 1450 Forest Gate Road | Oak Brook History

2017

Te Hinsdale Hospital Foundation Open Arms fund was established in 2011 to support breast cancer patients and their families by funding programs that bring hope and healing as they help patients and families navigate the difficult journey through cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

In 2012, the Oak Brook Park District was the first community organization to step up in a creative way to participate in both the awareness-building mission, and to provide significant funding for Open Arms. Since 2012, Te Pink 5K has generated more than $38,000 that Open Arms has utilized for its 40 for 40 program.

Te 40 for 40 program provides free mammograms to 40 women over the age of 40 that do not have health insurance or any other means to pay for screening.

In addition to the 40 for 40 program, which will again be the recipient of a portion of this year’s Oak Brook Park District Pink 5k registration fees, donations to the Open Arms Fund make possible the best new diagnosis, technology, and treatment programs and strengthens our highly-personalized patient and family education and support system.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Show your support and register for this great family-friendly 5K today for an early-bird discount!
