CONVENIENT CONTRIBUTIONS Marvin ’03 and Kristine Weniger

etween his duties as a Naval Engineer and in his medical school classes, busy isn’t a strong enough word to describe Marvin Weniger ‘03’s schedule. Balancing his studies and military career doesn’t leave a lot o time or mu else. So en it omes to maing a git to Saint ons Pre, riting a montl, uarterl, or even yearly check to the Annual Fund can seem cumbersome. Instead, Marvin and his wife, Kristine, opt for the easy way--they simply schedule auto withdrawals from their bank account.

Making a difference to a school that made a difference for him is important to Marvin. Saint John’s Prep was a welcoming place for him when he enrolled as a junior resident student.

“I started about a year after graduation in 2004.

I wanted to give back, but as a college student, I didn’t have a lot of time. It’s easy. Once I set it up, I didn’t have to think about it. The amount I give each month is very manageable for me. It’s not very much, but I hope over the years it has made a dierene.

With the automatic withdrawals, his gifts will continue, uninterrupted, to impact the Prep community and foster students within the years to come.

Marvin is part of a Prep tradition in the Weniger family. His sister Bonnie graduated in 2002 and his father, Marvin Sr. graduated in 1957. After Prep, Marvin went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University, as well as a Masters of Engineering Management degree from Old Dominion University. es sine sered fie ears as a Naal ngineer.
