Easy to organise and cheap to implement, personalised printed goodies can generate a great profit for your PTA, and make unique gifts for families and friends.


W


hether it’s self-portrait tea towels or colourful Christmas cards, printed product fundraisers are a


straightforward and cost-effective way to boost PTA funds. Most schemes follow a similar format: send off or upload images, receive a proof, approve, then have your  buy, the lower the costs, so it’s important to think carefully about how much you charge per item – you want your printed goodies to be affordable for parents, but  Inviting families to pre-order will


ensure that you aren’t left with surplus stock, and scheduling your marketing should make the most of every sales opportunity. Most suppliers have a turnaround of about three weeks, so allow enough time to order – some suppliers also offer discounts for early bookings. Families could design something at home, or teachers may be happy to compile artwork during lesson time. Whether your pupils are artistically gifted, or make more of a mess than a masterpiece, a project of this kind enables children of all ages and abilities to become a part of something exciting.
