Sign Me Up to learn sign language at Bridges along with new format

A flagship program of Gordon Jewish Community Center

Camp Davis: getting kids dirty since 1930

Located on a gorgeous 52-acre facility

at the Gordon Jewish Community Center, Camp Davis provides the ultimate day camp experience for children and fami- lies in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. A flagship program of the Gordon

Jewish Community Center, Camp Davis is open to campers of all backgrounds, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or socio-economic background. If your child likes to get loud, weird

and funky, then this is the camp for him or her.

For years, Camp Sign Me Up

focused on providing a day‑camp like opportunity for elementary through

high school aged children, with a focus on teaching American Sign Language.

Summer 2016 camp has a new for-

mat and we are excited to offer the most affordable, fun day-camp in Nashville. After a lot of discussion and with changes informed by feed- back from last year, 2016 camps will now feature field trips, games, sports, and crafts as many traditional day camps do.

Camp Sign Me Up uses these experiences to offer a glimpse into

American Sign Language and Deaf culture – unique in Nashville and an opportunity provided only at Bridges. Camp Sign Me Up runs June 13 to June 17 and June 20 to June 24 with a cost of $55 per week. Attend both weeks to have more fun and learn more signs. Sign Me Up is open to any child age six to 13 who wants a fantas- tic day camp experience. Campers will leave with wonderful memories. for Camp Sign Me Up, contact or visit youth_programs.

Campers spend their day engaging in high quality traditional camp program- ming. Nature trails, multiple sports fields, and indoor and outdoor pools, are just a few of the features our campus boasts. The highly skilled and engaging staff — many of whom started as Camp Davis campers themselves — leads all the camp activities. Camp Davis also offers many exciting specialty tracks focusing on specific top- ics, such as swimming, fashion design, basketball, Legos, chemistry and sculp- ture. These programs allow campers to participate in their favorite activities in the morning, while joining the rest of the camp in the afternoon to participate in a

more traditional experience. What makes Camp Davis so special? It isn’t just the top-level programming, beautiful scenery, or highly trained staff; it is a community of love and growth. Our campers are encouraged daily to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. Come see what the fun is all about and visit today!
