January Furniture Show 2016 A show full of treats

The buzz is building for The January Furniture Show (January 24-27 NEC Birmingham). An ‘A’ list of exhibitors are getting ready to show you their newest designs and innovations in gifts, accessories, soft furnishings, fabrics, lighting, flooring and furniture. Nearly all of the 450 plus exhibitors from the

UK and abroad, are launching their collections for 2016 at The January Furniture Show, giving buyers the first opportunity of the year to see the best of the new.

Hall 1

The Hall for high-end upholstery and cabinet furniture, with some of the biggest UK brands including, Duresta, Parker Knoll, Ercol, Baker, Wade, Collins & Hayes, and G Plan Upholstery revealing their new concepts. Think sumptuous, designer, classic and classy for the sofas and chairs. Cabinets will encompass everything from environmentally friendly reclaimed woods with modern matt finishes, to grand polished statement pieces fit for a stately home. Hall 1 is also the home of a new feature area

for the 2106 Show, the Fabric Pavillion, where companies including Swaffer, Kobe and Barker & Barker will be showing their latest pretty florals, crushed silks, crisp stripes and 70’s inspired designs.

Hall 2

An indulgence in soft Italian leather. Famous names including Italia Living, Contempo, Tomasella, Ego Italiano and Marinelli, will show their newest designs and continue to push the boundaries of leather sofa style and design.

A must is the Greenapple stand, pioneering

glass designs will be on full display with the new Rimini collection being shown for the first time. Introduced for 2016 will be the Flooring

Showcase, bringing together some of best known companies in the UK flooring industry including Axminster, Kenton Floors and Interfloor. They will show a selection of their latest ranges including contemporary grey washed boards and striped woven carpets.

Hall 3

Where do we start? This is the destination hall for gifts, accessories and home furnishings of every kind. The list of exhibitors is a complete Who’s Who in gift and accessories - Gallery Direct, Libra, Pacific Lifestyle, Culinary Concepts, Stone the Crows!, PD Global, Lovelane, Mindy Brownes, Hill Interiors, Camelot, Dar Lighting, CIMC, Febland, Lifestyle Arts & Crafts Complete Colour, Malini and Artko amoung many others. Nearly all are launching their full catalogues for 2016 at the Show. Highlights include Libra, which will have a

kaleidoscope of new collections, including Luxe, full of feminine curves, shimmering and reflective surfaces. Darwin’s Study, is a nod to past exploration using aged leathers and blackened metals. While Equestrian, features paired back chic and shades of greys and creams. This stand will be a treasure trove of human and animal form sculptures, candlesticks, decorative objects, lights, tableware and statement centrepieces of every kind. Gallery Direct, a favourite of the 2015 Show,

is bringing 150 new products in 2016 and launching three furniture ranges for bedroom,

living and dining. The intention of offering ‘variety to suit all tastes and styles of room, from beautifully elegant to exquisitely modern’ will be fulfilled in style with a profusion of furniture, mirrors, lamps and decorative accessories. Trendsetter and gifted trend interpreter

Pacific Lifestyle, is introducing five trends at the Show, including Nordic Summer with a Scandinavian look, geometric patterns and clean metallic finishes and Highland Retreat, with a woodland inspired colour pallet and natural materials including rattan, leather and dark wood to create rural, hideaway feel. New exhibitor Stone the Crows! is

introducing furniture collections in beautifully crafted acacia wood with metal details, as well as a host of newly designed and unique furnishing accessories. Continually diversifying into new areas is CIMC, launching a furniture collection at the show. It has been designed to complement both modern and period interiors. It will also show the latest designs in its comprehensive lighting collections. Irish based Mindy Brownes is bringing a full

collection of of occasional furniture, lights, clocks, accessories and tableware. Also showing a full collection for home décor will be Hill Interiors, bringing new furniture items, lighting, artware and gifts as well as their latest replica militaria items. Culinary Concepts, which has been creating

stylish and beautifully crafted home and giftwares for over 15 years, is promising a spectacular stand in 2016, full of innovative kitchen, dining and decorative accessories available anywhere.
