Faringdon Rotakids is growing

Since its charter last year Faringdon Rotakids has become a popular club for the children of Faringdon & District. It was heart-warming to be present when they welcomed twelve new members in October; each standing before all present to take their pledge.

Vice President, Sarah presented the new members with their certificates of membership and after they each took their pledge, welcomed them as the youngest and newest members of the Rotary family. Sarah expressed how delighted she was to see the group growing and expressed how immensely proud of them we are and how we look forward to seeing them grow further and

continue with the help they have already provided in the Faringdon community and especially overseas.

Having previously supported Roll out the Barrel and Life Straws, Faringdon Rotakids’ chosen charity for this term is Literacy Box for which they have already begun fundraising at the Fireworks and Bonfire display.

The Club meet every Friday during term time at 3.45pm to 5pm under their inspirational leader Kealy Whenray supported by Rotarians Shaena and John. They love to have visitors from Rotary so do visit them if you can and show support.

"If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children." —Mahatma Gandhi
