I truly believe that here at Church of God we are coming into a new season spiritually like the season described in Song of Solomon 2:11

“For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance”

When we begin to see new people coming into the church and finding the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, it’s a wonderful time and we know that God’s hand of blessing is upon us.

But as with the natural seasons it’s not a time for inactivity but rather a time for everyone to get busy in serving within the church and setting a good example for new Christians in serving, giving and praying.

How many know that a child will look to and copy its parents—each of us have a responsibility to set a great example for others to follow.

As we read in Isaiah 43:18-19

“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it?”

It’s so easy to get stuck in the past and be reminded of a past harsh season, but God wants us to move forward with him into a new season of hope and joy and worship as we rejoice in the goodness of our God.

God gave me a promise a while ago concerning the church and it’s found in Amos 9:13

“The days are coming, declares the Lord, when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes”

Please continue to pray as we look to the Lord and thank Him for this new season of blessing.

God Bless You Pastor Mike
