ANY TIME - ANY PLACE SUMMER 2015 MEMBER NEWSLETTER Combat Talon Memorial Unveiled at Hurlburt Air Park


With over 600 in atten- dance, the Combat Talon Me- morial Stone was dedicated in the Hurlburt Field Air Park on April 24, 2015. Gen (Ret) Nor- ton A. Schwartz presided over the dedication ceremony which memorializes those Combat Tal- on members lost during flight operation and, as a lasting tes- tament to the dedication, valor, and sacrifice of the entire Com- bat Talon Community. Honored guests included more than 50 family members of those fallen airmen, and all past and present Combat Talon Squadron Com- manders, First Sergeants and Chiefs.


The Combat Talon Memo- rial Foundation, headed by Rob- ert “Buff’’ Underwood, MSgt (Ret), presented the Memo- rial Stone following more than seven years of fund raising and design work.

and Airmen mourned the loss of a true American treasure -- Chief MSgt of the Air Force #9 James C. Binnicker. More than 1,000 people


gathered to celebrate his life during a ceremony at the Em- erald Coast Convention Center in Fort Walton Beach on March 28.
