Life Changing Book: The 12 week year by Brian Moran was a great, eye opening book. This book inspired me to change my mindset and goal setting from annual goals to 12 week goals. This has made my goals more obtainable and creates a sense of urgency, which makes me more productive with the time that I have. This book has also helped with focusing on the execution of the “hard daily tasks.”

Favorite quote from the book: “The greatest predictor of your future are your daily actions.” I love this quote because it can be used for every aspect of your life, whether it be for personal, spiritual or career growth. Every time I feel myself getting off track I refer to this quote to get me back in the mindset that I need.

Breakthrough Moment: Signing up with a great real estate coach was the biggest breakthrough in business for me. Finding someone who knew a lot more than I do about the business has made all the difference in making me a better agent and business owner.

Mother knows best: Mom is the most outgoing person I know and really knows how to make everyone feel important. That’s one of the greatest skills I have learned from her.

Before approaching investors, ask yourself: Do you really have the ability to deliver what they need. Investors are all about numbers, if you (and the market) can’t deliver on the numbers they need, be honest about it.

On goal setting: Goals are powerful, it’s amazing where your brain will take you if you give it some direction. That being said, set goals that mean something. I have goals for how much I will pay my team, give away, spend time with my family, etc., rather than how much I will make or do. Those goals line up more with what really matters to me.

Life changing book: Emyth Revisited is the most foundational business-building book I have ever found. I have read it a half dozen times at least.

Biggest business lesson: Build from a place of health. Your business will be an extension of you so the healthier you are (financially, emotionally, spiritually) the healthier it will be.

If I knew what I know now: I would have found and married my wife earlier!

Breakthrough Moment: A few years ago when I really decided to focus on my Real Estate business and not try to do so many other things at once. When I first got into real estate, I was trying to build other “at home” businesses at the

same time on two different occasions. The moment I started noticing a difference and growth in my real estate career was when I decided to end those other businesses and really concentrate on my real estate career. Interesting thing is that I did not have this breakthrough moment until after my daughter was born. It made me feel that if I failed, not only did I fail myself, but I failed her too.

On goal setting: I sit down and write out what I would like my next year to look like both in business and personally. In business, I look at the “main” goals for the next year then I break down what that will look like on a monthly and weekly basis in terms of activity that I need to do to help me reach those goals. In my personal life, I do a similar thing whether it is for spending more time with my family, fitness, serving in church, volunteering, etc.

Branding tip: Pick something unique and special to you or your personality. Make it interesting and different, without trying to re- invent the wheel too much, so that you can stand out from the rest. This goes for your personal logo, slogan, and marketing.

Breakthrough Moment: My break through moment in real estate was selling my first home in Troon Fairways. Troon is a prestigious area in North Scottsdale and being able sell homes in such an affluent area was a rewarding experience for me!

I have been happily married to my best friend for 18 years and we have one son, he’s 15. We also have a horse, two dogs and a tortoise.
