News in brief

We were delighted to have our own missionaries back with us for a few days during this past quarter.

During April, Jim McWhinnie was back home for 10 days to visit family. He was accompanied by his son Craig. While they were in Scotland, his wife and daughter, Mirjam and Fiona spent some time in Holland on holiday and visiting the WEC centre there.

Then in May we had a visit from Ken and Jocelyne Acheson who were also home for a short holiday to visit family. Ken has recovered from his recent illness and is ready to go back out preaching in various parts of Europe.

Congratulations to Alex Kennedy on being selected as an Usher for this year’s Kilsyth Civic Queen.

Alex had a busy time during Civic Week attending the Parade and all the midweek activities.

At the end of June a team is going out once again to Romania to work with Bob & Edith McDonald in the village of Sardu. They will be working with the children and youth of the village. Please remember them in prayer during this trip from 27 June - 5 July.
