Well, it has been an interesting start to the year. With an economy in recovery and spending at early trade shows looking good, we then had the election to contend with and now…… All in all it has been a time of change


and perhaps that’s why I have decided to move on and leave this title in the very capable hands of Charlotte Cowell who many of you will know and who is very well respected in the gift industry. I am pleased to be leaving when the


future looks bright for this ever-changing business as retailers continue to find ways to make their mark on the high street and to join the online revolution rather than retreat from it. I will continue to help with production


and some feature writing but am looking forward to more time for shopping. See you at the till.
