• Interview wi th the Chief Execut ive

One voice Fromthe Editor

A warm welcome to the first edition of 2015, in what is a very special and exciting year for NMC as we celebrate our 25th birthday. The celebrations started with the announcement that NMC had won the prestigious GlaxoSmithKline Impact Award 2015. This is a huge accolade for NMC.

During the past few months, I have had the privilege of interviewing our Chief Executive (see pages 2 and 3), I have been to various events - educational workshops covering transition, and carers events. I have also met some new faces at NMC.

In this edition Matthew gives us his thoughts about NMC, we share in the profile of Denise Coy, one of our Trustees and Hannah shares her experience of Pass-Plus Driving Tuition. Anne Craig explains how

having a stair-lift installed has enabled her to continue living in her home.

Susan shares her experience of riding for the disabled and Sanjay gives us some really useful tips and suggestions on keeping warm.

There are plenty of ideas as to how you might be able to help us celebrate our special birthday year. We have Muscle Month, bag packs, collections and / or you could join us at one of our events that are listed in Diary Dates on the back page. There’s something for everyone!

That leaves me to wish you all a Happy Easter.

Best wishes,
