read it was the last day of the two day event and promised to offer a good mixture of flying fun, including display teams, aerobatic and historical aircrafts. There were a lot of people already setting up trade stands and food outlets to accommodate the expected crowds. If we had no plans later, there was a strong likelihood we would check out what the Air Show had to offer.


Whilst I consumed a lovely cup of coffee in a busy side street café, I became conscious of time, it was, as though I could feel my imaginary cycling bungee rope begin to reel me back in. There was a strong likelihood that the kids would be up by now, which also meant that Sarah would be awake


and probably trying her best to keep them from killing each other. With this in mind I retraced my tracks back to my bike and headed inland, away from the sea and the delights of the Pier. The route back took me through Weeley Bridge and Little Clacton before I reached the entrance to the park. As I cycled through the gates and passed the10mph signs, I could hear myself subconsciously humming the tune to ‘Lifening’ by Snow Patrol, the main lyrics being “This is all I ever wanted from life”, at that precise moment in time, that was how I felt, I was so looking forward to spending the rest of the day with my loved ones, knowing I had already spent some quality time with
