And I am telling you these things simply to explain why it is important to us. 

All through Jesus’ life, He kept the Sabbath that He gave us at creation. 

Jesus made all the world and everything in it, and then rested the seventh day.

Genesis 2:1-3 “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that

in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Here is a very important idea to us Sabbath keepers… 

  

God not only rested on the Sabbath but He blessed and sanctified that day. 

He did not bless or sanctify any other day… just the seventh day, or the Sabbath.

According to God, there were to be special blessings on the Sabbath.

 In order to receive God’s special blessings on the Sabbath, we must keep that day.

And here is where there seems to be a lot of questions… the “keeping” of

the Sabbath day. In today’s society, there seems to be very little “keeping” of the day of worship, whatever day that might be.

Unfortunately, that also includes many Seventh-day Adventists. 

And we ourselves have not been free of guilt from this problem. 
