ACTIVITIES... Rock Climbing and Abseiling

A chance to experience a natural high! Take on the challenge and push yourself beyond what you knew you could do. Many people find this activity exciting and get a real sense of achievement. We have a fantastic onsite crag for groups who need an easier introduction to rock climbing. For those who need a bigger challenge we travel 20 minutes down the road to a stunning venue where there is something for everyone including a smaller crag, which particularly suits primary schools.

Initiative Challenges

You’ll need creative minds and a good team spirit to complete these team challenges. This half day activity can either be a fun competition or an exercise in team work and communication. The tasks are a range of stimulating, problem-solving activities set up around the centre, inside and out. Some activities are simple games, whilst others are more complex tasks where thinking outside the box is essential. This is a fantastic activity for groups looking to develop their capacity to work effectively together. We’ll work with you to tailor the session to meet the needs of your group and take them on a journey, leading to positive outcomes whilst having a lot of fun along the way.

Taking place in the woods at our Bryn-y-Moel site, the aim of this session is to introduce group members to the art of basic survival using traditional bush craft skills. The four priorities of Food, Fire, Shelter and Water will be covered, as well as emergency procedures and camp craft. If this is done as a full day session it can be extended to an adventurous overnight, sleeping in shelters that the groups have designed and erected themselves or in our traditionally built round house, with an evening meal cooked over an open fire. The sky really is the limit with this activity - whether you require a half day introduction to bush craft or a full week training course for your friends and family, we can offer it.

An introduction to the skills of archery. Spend half a day on our purpose built range at our Bryn-y-Moel site and enjoy the satisfaction of improving and consistently hitting the target! This activity has a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere as you take it in turns to shoot the targets, play team games and attempt challenges while practising your skill and accuracy.

Harlech Castle

We offer the opportunity to visit Harlech Castle, a 13th century medieval fortification built by the English King, Edward 1. The castle is a World Heritage Site, spectacularly situated on the coast just a few minutes from the centre. It could be a brilliant contribution to your programme giving groups a break from the more physically demanding activities and a chance to explore some of the history surrounding this area.
