WELCOME to... ‘ENRICHING OUTDOOR EDUCATION’
Enriching Outdoor Education - At CMC Adventure, we believe, not only that outdoor education enriches the lives of those who participate, but also, that we are able to enrich outdoor education itself, by carefully tailoring our courses to the needs of our guests. There is no “one size fits all” course available at CMC Adventure. We would like to work with you to plan, refine and deliver an outdoor residential course of which you can be confident will benefit your school, college, youth group or family.
We are here to serve you, not to tell you what’s best for your group members. If you are unsure about what is on offer, we can help and guide. However, our primary concern is that we deliver a programme that excites, enthuses, educates and inspires the people you bring to our centre.
Our two centres, Pensarn Harbour and Bryn Y Moel are set in fantastic locations. Nestled in between the vast unspoilt beaches of the Cambrian coast and the wild beauty of the Rhinog mountain range, the centres are truly set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, a unique landscape offering unique opportunities.
Views across the harbour and the surrounding fields and hills. The quay wall itself it equipped with a wheelchair accessible ramp and 10m long floating pontoon giving a fantastic platform to launch all of our water sports.
BRYN Y MOEL OUR STAFF
CMC Adventure has a team of highly qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated staff. We are here to help make your time with us smooth and problem free. We will be communicating with you every step of the way from the moment you enquire to the very end of your stay. Whilst you are with us, you will be well looked after, both out on activities by our instructors and back in the centre where welcoming, warm, comfortable accommodation and home cooked meals await you.
All of our staff are Christians and if you would like them to share their experience of being a Christian, then we would be more than happy to do so. This may be in the form of a short thought for the day, a Bible reading, a personal testimony or a simple question and answer session.
Guests visiting the centre will be treated with gentleness and respect. No one will be forced to take part in activities by our staff and we will be as sensitive as possible to the individual needs of our guests. It is our hope that you will have an inspirational and meaningful visit that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Bryn Y Moel is a beautiful 11 acre woodland site tucked away in the hills overlooking the harbour. It is 3/4 mile from Pensarn Harbour, reachable by car, minibus or on foot. The grounds provide a perfect space for outdoor activities as well as a relaxing quiet place to simply be! At Bryn Y Moel the 11 acres are all yours and you are free to explore the woodlands, play games in the open fields or play in the hard court sports area. Bryn Y Moel is also the location of some of our on-site activities including archery, orienteering and bush craft.
CMC was founded in 1966 to help young people and adults to “develop their physical, mental, and spiritual capabilities as individuals and members of society.” CMC has kept an unchanging commitment to this vision for almost 50 years and it is the vision we still have today. Our purpose is to provide quality outdoor education courses for all ages and abilities within an ethos derived from the Christian faith. There is no pressure whatsoever on visitors to accept the Christian viewpoint, and we welcome groups and individuals of any faith or none.
