Thunderbird™-IV When the Thunderbird Bass was first produced at the legendary Kalamazoo factory in 1963, it was the only bass available from Gibson or Epiphone. But really, what else could you need? The Thunderbird’s unique zig-zag body design and equally distinct “reverse” headstock was the brainchild of legendary automotive designer and visionary Ray Dietrich. The Epiphone Thunderbird-IV includes all the classic features plus Epiphone TB™-Plus bass humbuckers.
