NORTH DOWNS CYCLES BIKES, REPAIRS, SPARES, CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES

North Downs Cycles started on the trail by two guys Dave & Colvin, keen cyclists for years having dreams of a local shop in Warlingham village, the seed was planted!

Aquired the shop we wanted on the edge of The North Downs Trail Route 21 in Oct 14 and opened 1st Nov 14.

North Downs Cycles is the only shop in the country who build to order the Vivelo road bike riden by Caja Rural Spanish tour team 2014.

VIVELO’s roots are deeply entrenched in racing. The Founder of VIVELO Inc. has a combined racing history of over 25 years. We know how hard a rider’s daily routine is and how expensive the racing at any level could be. Our vision is to offer the best pricing on race level equipment for every active racer and support the companies that share that vision with us. First place or pack fill, VIVELO believes that could help every rider to make it possible. We have continued the VIVELO Sponsorship Program because our hearts, minds, and bodies are still involved in the racing.

Sark chosen as one of the world’s best destinations for 2015

It’s official! Sark is the place to visit in 2015. Te island features in National Geographic Traveller magazine’s twenty ‘go- ‐now’ destinations for the New Year. Travel expert Peter Johansen describes the charm of the island where “signposts usefully give distances in walking minutes, for in this unhurried place ambling is what one does – or cycling, or riding in a horse- ‐drawn carriage.” He goes on to describe the wealth of wildflowers, the beauty of the Gouliot Caves and the Coupée and the pleasure of buying fresh duck eggs from an honesty box. Te stunning night skies get a mention (Sark being the world’s first Dark Sky Island) as do the celebrations planned for 2015 to commemorate the 450th anniversary of Sark’s feudal system, a form of government that remained until 2008.

Sandra Williams, chairman of Sark’s Tourism Committee, is delighted with the news. “Tis is a wonderful endorsement for Sark. A lot of our visitors come back year aſter year but coverage like this brings Sark to the attention of potential new travellers from all around the world. It also reminds those of us who live here just what a unique and precious place Sark is.”

North Downs Cycles are an official UK dealer for Mondraker bikes!

Spanish bike super brand Mondraker is rolling out more options than ever before. Mondraker pioneer their awesome new Forward Geometry concept which has already

received huge acclaim in the cycle industry. Although at first it can be considered a ‘love or hate’ type of situation, the way this concept performs can convert even the most die hard traditional geometry advocates! Its minimal stem responsiveness matched to extended wheelbase stability, once dialled in, delivers control and confidence on the

most extreme trails that conventional bikes can’t get close to matching. Once you ‘get it’ we reckon you won’t want to ride anything else however if you don’t ‘get it’ then don’t

worry, the same brilliant Zero suspension system and Stealth frames are available in the traditional formats (but still with amazing performance) too.
