Testimony

Over the past few months during our Sunday morning service we have had people sharing their testimony, either in word or through a song,

We read in 1 Peter 3:15 “And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.” and in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! “

The following are short excerpts from some of the testimonies.

15 years ago before I had Jesus in my life my life was just a broken mess. At that time I lived a really fearful life. I came to this church to hear my daughter Tracey singing. She had become a Christian 2 months earlier and she asked me to come and hear her sing. I made a decision that night and God gave me the courage, the grace and the mercy and the forgiveness of all my sins. When I asked him into my life he took my sins but he also took the weight that I was carrying around and he took the fear I had away instantly. I’ve never been the same person since.

I wouldn’t have been able to travel to many places in the far east, in the name of the Lord, if it wasn’t for my dear wife Mae. Mae prayed for 6 long years for me and often shed tears most nights for my salvation. She was praying for her addictive gambling husband. I had started off with a raffle ticket, had won and then became hooked. I often say that, whether you are an alcoholic, a drug addict or a gambler, it is an illness. But what God has done since that wonderful day when I heard about the arrest, the trial, the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus Christ has been amazing.
