Taylors of Harrogate has unveiled its limited edition Christmas Blend

controller at Taylors of Harrogate, says: “When it comes to seasonal sales opportunities, nothing comes bigger than Christmas. The beauty of the Christmas Blend is that it instantly brings seasonality to hot drinks menus and because it’s only around for a limited time, it allows operators to price that bit higher.

“Christmas is the time of year when customers really want to get into the spirit of the season and will pay that little bit more to enjoy it – especially affordable treats such as tea and coffee – so it’s essential operators take advantage of the opportunities available to them.

“These blends will stand out on any festive menu and help

caterers maximise their return during the highly profitable celebratory season.” The 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified Christmas Blend is available in cases of 6 x 227g, while the Spiced Christmas Tea is supplied in cases of 6 x 50s string & tag format. Spiced Apple – which is caffeine free and contains no added sugar – is available in cases of 5 x 20.

MINI JACKETS ADDED TO BANNISTERS’ FARM RANG

Bannisters’ Farm, a leading supplier of frozen baked potato products to the foodservice sector, has introduced a new line of small jacket potatoes to its range. Littl’uns are smaller versions of the brand’s signature Ready

Baked Jacket Potatoes and offer great versatility, whether served solo, as a meal accompaniment or as part of a buffet. The Bannisters’ Farm range uses only British potatoes

Littl’uns fits a gap in the market

and Littl’uns are traditionally oven baked, before being quick- frozen to lock in their authentic baked potato taste. They can be stored in the freezer until required and cooked in the microwave in just three minutes, whilst still retaining all of their flavour and nutritional value. Zoe Bannister, commercial director at Bannisters’ Farm,

says: “Using frozen products not only offers caterers a convenient way to meet fast turnaround times, but also holds significant advantages when it comes to food waste.

“Waste management continues to be a prevalent issue

across all areas of the foodservice industry, from both an environmental and financial perspective. Wasted fresh produce can be very costly, something caterers are keen to avoid, particularly during these difficult economic times.”
