There are lots of things happening over the next couple of months. Safari Supper Saturday 29th November

Optional Fancy Dress Theme: Uniforms Fancy joining in the next Safari Supper?

It’s always a fun night - good food, and a great way to meet up with people you don’t get much chance to have a chat with or have never met before.

All you have to do is provide food (just one course – starter, main or pud) and drinks for yourself and four surprise guests. It’s all very relaxed, fun and casual –making your food nice and easy is key.

We move around different houses for each course and if my planning works out you’ll nevermeet the same people more than once, so it’s a great way to mingle. Planned timings for each course are: Starter – 7.00 p.m. Main Course - 8.00 p.m. Dessert - 9.30 p.m. Village Hall - 10.30 p.m.

We will all meet in the Village Hall after eating, where there will be a raffle, music, and a bit of dancing for those energetic ones amongst us.

Any donations for raffle prizes will be gratefully received!

The theme this time is “Uniforms”, so the scope is vast for those of you who like to dress up, but if it’s not your cup of tea and you would still like to join in, that’s fine – there are many who are not “fancy dressers” but who still enjoy the evening none the less.

The cost is £10 per person. All funds raised will be donated to the Community Shop.

Please phoneme on 231521 or 0779 906 7012 or e mail chrissy.vincent65@btinternet.comif you have any questions, or to let me know you want to join in. Chris Vincent

Sheepwash Village Lunch

With summer flowers decorating the tables, we had our Summer lunch onWednesday 13th August. Thirty- three village people and friends joined us for two types of chicken casserole – which they all seemed to enjoy (aka: none left).

The desserts were plentiful, with Muriel’s pavlovas, Linda’s crumbles, and at least three other choices of delicious desserts from kind donors, plus custard and cream.

Thank you very much to all our helpers – Anne and Martin, Linda, Margaret, Sheila, Pete and Sue – who turn up faithfully time after time. Without you we wouldn’t be able to make these lunches work.

Our Autumn lunch is planned for Wednesday 29th October. Still only £5 per head. You can book by phoning Anne Gray on 231231 orMaggie Harper on 281223. See you then!
