How do artists influence each other and reflect similar concerns within their artwork? This exhibition explores the relationships between the work of American abstract artists Al Held and Robert Mangold in the 1960s and onwards. Mangold and Held were introduced to each other at Yale University and the years that followed represented important transitional moments for both artists.

Working in sculpture, drawing, photography, and performance, Lesley Dill uses a variety of media to explore themes of language, the body, and transformational experience. Her large-scale installation, Faith & The Devil, investigates the philosophical and existential conundrums of evil and underlying faith in the world.
Lesley Dill received her BA from Trinity College and MFA from the Maryland Institute of Art. As the Fall 2014 Falk Visiting Artist at the Weatherspoon and the Art Department at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Dill will present a lecture and gallery talk on her work and participate in MFA graduate student critiques.
The exhibition is organized by the Fine Arts Center Gallery at the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
