An ad hoc committee of the Weatherspoon Art Museum Association Board met over the summer to discuss the future of the museum store. When Kate Hill, our wonderful manager, told us she was moving to Canada with her husband, we decided to step back and close the shop for the time being. The committee had some very fruitful discussions and came up with a number of ideas, such as pop-up shops and trunk shows. What we really need for the shop to operate profitably is to revert to volunteer management, the model set up when Barbara Boulton first opened The Inside Corner and which Rita Guyes so ably continued.

If you would be interested in volunteering, please let us know. And we’d love to hear your ideas on the future of WAMShop. Contact us at
