JUST a few months after opening up a business on the site of an old railway station in Glasgow’s West End, the founders of The Indian Platform have opened a second restaurant, converting the Ivy India Restaurant into The Indian Platform 2 (Southside). The new restaurant has 130 covers, a 150 seat function room and a 50 seat private suite, as well as a new menu that includes an extensive tandoori selection. Former Scottish Asian Businesswoman of the Year Nasreen Aksi, co-founder of the Indian Platform with Chetan Parmar, said: “The opening of our second Indian Platform restaurant just four months after the launch of the brand, signals our intention to go full steam ahead with our fast track growth plans.” The Indian Platform 2 (Southside) is a family- friendly restaurant offering both buffet and a la carte menus. A particular feature is the upstairs chef’s table offering a fine dining space, where head chef Neeraj Dhatwalia presents a tasting menu and offers individually prepared dishes to suit particular tastes. n
