CHICKEN DISH STREAMING COMES OUT TOP IN INDIA


ACCORDING to YouTube, ‘how to make chicken curry’ was the most searched recipe on the video streaming site in India, followed by biryani recipes and recipes for paneer curries. The most watched video related to food on YouTube India was ‘Chicken Biryani Restaurant Style’ by VahChef. YouTube says that videos related to food are incredibly popular in India. “Food and cooking videos are thriving on YouTube, with cooking content being amongst the top 10 most watched categories on YouTube


globally. In India, it’s amongst the top five most watched categories, and we’ve observed a 40 per cent year-over-year growth in viewership for food and cooking videos on YouTube,” commented Gautam Anand, YouTube’s director of content and operations for APAC region. Food-related videos

Council rubbishes ‘curried cats’ theory


THE discovery of a bag of severed cats’ heads close to Manchester’s Curry Mile does not mean the animals are being cooked in curries by local


restaurants, Manchester City Council has stated. Council investigators dismissed rumours, pointing out that it would not be viable to catch cats for meat when chicken is so cheap.


The Council has put the incident down to ‘an


extreme example of animal cruelty’, which it is now looking into. n
