Circle K Employees, Customers, and Business Partners Raise Over $5.3 Million for United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona, United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Arizona and Opportunity Village

Through fundraising efforts at local stores and events throughout the State of Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada, Circle K employees, customers and vendors generously helped raise over $5.3 million for UCP of Central and Southern Arizona, and Opportunity Village in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The funds donated support the

organizations’ mission to help children and adults with disabilities including Down syndrome, autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and cerebral palsy. Donations are collected every day as Circle K employees ask customers to donate their extra change at the register to benefit families and children with disabilities. In addition, Circle K business partners participating in the Aces High and Desert Klassic golf tournaments result in additional funding for UCP of Central Arizona’s important mission.

their surroundings from birth. Whether they are typically developing, experience developmental delays or a disability, each child benefits from a quality childcare and educational program such as our Early Learning Center. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) which means that we have quality teachers, curriculum and maintain the highest standards in our Early Learning Center. We also offer lower teacher to child ratios to ensure individualized

attention in an inclusive

setting. Our inclusive program is very special because it provides an environment that is open to all children including those with learning and physical disabilities along with typically developing children. This helps build a community where children are exposed to members of the community that might not look physically the same, or learn differently, and learn to love and respect everyone and their differences.

Beginning at the infant level, our teachers interact and monitor babies for development including situations that may create concern and require intervention or

awareness for the parents. When concerns are noted, parents are informed and UCP is fortunate to have therapists on staff to assist. In addition, it is common for our therapists to visit our Early Learning Center and provide suggestions to our teachers, continually enhancing our services and support to each family.

Our one year old children begin to learn to

hold and use crayons, continue developing socialization skills and have a structured environment for learning. Through every age and stage of child development, we seek to create a positive experience and education in preparation for kindergarten. As children progress through each class, we see healthy relationships develop between the child, their parents, and the caregivers. The relationships built with the families that entrust the care of their children to our educators are the root of a successful educational journey. Our structured days
