Martin Kruck Habitorium Series: Colony, Canopy, Canopy II, 2013 Photomontage; Archival Digital Print on Baryta

Martin Kruck’s imaginative landscapes combine man-made and organic environ- ments through the wonders of photoshop and digital printing. The resulting images present a place both romantic and dystopic, where the technological and natural collide into a magical world both deeply familiar and completely peculiar. Kruck presents images of strangeness as a way of pointing out the contradictions in our arbitrary separation between nature and our built environment.
