Savannah Lakes Village residents Ted and Eileen Cicora, Ken and Nancy McGhie, and Mac and Linda McClintock, joined by Chicago friends Larry and Margie Kienlen, share dinner at the Tuscan villa they called home for a week during a recent two-week trip to Italy.


McCormick United Methodist Church gave 1,090 new books to McCormick Elementary School in May, plus $1,000 to purchase more books. Each child, grades K-4, went home for the summer with an age-appropriate book and a challenge to prepare a book report for the beginning of the new school year. Representing the church were the pastor, the Rev. Dr. Paul Wood, and the lay leader, Phil Bailey.

The Rotary Club of McCormick County partnered with McCormick United Methodist Church to provide a water safety book to all children at McCormick Elementary School, grades K-3. Making the presentation were Paul


Wood, Pastor at McCormick UMC, and Jane Fairburn and Anne Barron representing the Rotarians.
