A special mention must be made of our very own Tim Cowling who was running his first of four 10K races during his year as District 1090 Governor in aid of Seesaw http://www.seesaw.org.uk/ - SeeSaw helps children and their families both before and after a major bereavement, helping them to move forward and to face the future with hope. Tim lost his own mother when he was aged 4. It is not too late to sponsor Tim at www.justgiving.com/RunforMum1090. Special congratulations also go to Linda Cowling who completed the 5k.

Sunday evening we received this e- mail - "Just a quick note to say thanks for organising such a great event today. I really enjoyed it and will be back again next year. Paul

". We had very positive feedback from the runners on the day, many of them having taken part in several of our previous events. We are now wise to running calendars online where similar events are advertised - we had the biggest turn out ever this year, 25 up on last year.

DO NOT DISTURB

Maybe we can grow the event again for next year if the Fundraising Committee decide to hold another. As a helper it is great fun and we have gained several new 'friends' on Facebook from runners and families taking part all learning more about Rotary. I hope I can say we can look forward to next year!

Thanks once again must go to Lord Faringdon for generously allowing us to hold the event in the beautiful grounds of Buscot Park.
