MUSÉE DE LA GRANDE GUERRE

A remembrance tourism trip to Northern France would not be complete without a trip to this wonderful new museum in Meaux. Opened in 2011, it houses an unrivalled collection of 50,000 artefacts from the war. It tells the story of the genesis of the war from a historical perspective but also brings alive the experiences of ordinary soldiers and civilians with fascinating relics and personal memorabilia.
