Immigration Centres Scamming Jamaicans in £5,000 Citizenship Scheme

Scores of Jamaicans are being conned out of large sums of money under the promise of the acquisition of ‘Commonwealth’ citizenship, if they renounce their Jamaican nationality. Operators of a ‘dodgy’ immigration scheme have been col- lecting sums of up to £5,000 and leaving unsuspecting victims confused and des- perate. The Jamaican High Commissioner has written to the Foreign and Com- monwealth Office on the matter and is warning Jamaicans to be careful.
