Students are asked to explain pat- terns and meaning and to examine information for details and main ideas.


Here are four examples of digital content for analyzing:


Shiſting Shapes – Students analyze a portion of a shape and consider its characteristics to determine its name.


Venn Diagram Shapes Sorting Students look for common characteristics to determine how each set is being classified.


Haunted Library Students ana- lyze texts to de- termine if they are informative, persuasive, or entertaining.

Evaluating

Students are asked to critique, to judge, to make recommendations and to justify those recommenda- tions.

Choose A Measuring Tool – Stu- dents choose the correct measuring tool for each task that is described.


Summarizing Match-Up - Students read a short story. Ten choose the best summa- ry from three possibilities.


Persuasion Map – Stu- dents map out their argu- ment for a persuasive es- say or debate.


Creating
