Burford Garden Company win Taylors Bulbs display competition

Burford Garden Company has won the national Taylors Bulb ‘Bulbland’ competition. Presented with the Bulbland trophy, a cheque for £200, a certifi cate and a glass plaque, Burford buyer Glen Sheldrake said, “We are delighted to have won, our bulb display takes a great deal of time and effort to plant, set up and maintain. However, winning the award has made all of our efforts really worthwhile.”

National runner-up was awarded to Melbricks

Garden & Leisure, who had won the competition for the previous two years but were denied the hat-trick by Burford’s stylish use of silk fl owers and other display props. Certifi cates were also awarded for

excellent bulb displays to Christies of Fochabers (Scotland), Tavernspite Garden Centre (Wales), Ribblesdale Plant Centre (North England), Planters Garden Centre (Midlands) and Garsons of Fontley (South England).
