“MUCH OF THE

MEDICAL COMMUNIY DOES NOT YET RECOGNIZE OR

ACCEPT ADRENAL FATIGUE AS A DIAGNOSIS.”

listener is hearing it for the first time right along with us.

BEING A WORKING MOM, HOW HAVE YOU HANDLED JUGGLING YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE AND YOUR CHILDREN? All working moms struggle with finding the perfect balance of career and kids. Having a spouse with flexible hours has certainly been a blessing. I’ve also been fortunate to work for a company that understands my family commitments and a family that understands my commitment to my career. But I also have to throw in the occasional girls’ night for sanity’s sake!

YOU’VE HAD SOME PRETTY BIG STARS ON YOUR SHOW, WHO HAS BEEN THE MOST MEMORABLE? This is a very difficult question to answer! I don’t want to sound like a snob, but there have been so many memorable moments over the last 18 years. Making grilled cheese with Lenny Kravitz and doing tequila shots with Oprah have to top the list.

HEALTHYWITHHART.COM CERTAINLY SEEMS TO BE A LABOR OF LOVE. WHAT HAS DRAWN YOU INTO ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE? Healthy

with Hart began after I

struggled with panic attacks. After being misdiagnosed and given medication that made my symptoms worse, I found a doctor who diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue. Much of the medical community does not yet recognize or accept adrenal fatigue as a diagnosis. The frustration of that experience gave impetus to my Healthy with Hart website in hopes that others experiencing adrenal fatigue would have another resource for educating themselves on this syndrome. That, and I wanted to make changing to a healthier lifestyle as easy as possible!

WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HAVE IN STORE FOR THE ERIC & KATHY SHOW? I could never predict what the future has in store for the Eric & Kathy Show because I could’ve never predicted how supportive and loyal our listeners have been over the past years! They are truly like friends to everyone on the show. What other line of work allows you to gather all your friends around a giant cup of coffee (or tea) each and every morning and talk about the latest gossip of the day. It’s a dream come true. I hope we never wake up!

CAN YOU SHARE SOME OF YOUR BEST HEALTH TIPS FOR OUR READERS? Some of my best health tips would be—assuming everyone knows to stay away from sugar, refined/processed foods—protein in every meal; it keeps your blood sugar/insulin from spiking. Try to detox your body every couple of years (do your homework to make sure it’s a healthy detox). Meditate. You can do it. If I taught my brain to slow down, anyone can! Don’t be intimidated— meditating can be as easy sitting still for a few minutes and doing some deep breathing.
