• Crushing/chewing enteric coated preparations, or mixing with food or fluid with pH >5.5, can damage the enteric coating • Care should be taken to ensure that no product is retained in the mouth, which may cause irritation
• Irritation of the anus may be treated with the use of a barrier cream
