PAINT & POWDER COATING PRODUCTS & PROCESSES FROM DELTA PROCESS SYSTEMS

NEW COATING FACILITY FEATURES HIGH SPECIFICATION SPRAYBOOTHS

One of the leading finishing houses in

the West Midlands, Midland Paint &

Powder Coaters Ltd,

has recently relocated to a new site in

Garretts's Green, Birmingham.

Established in 1990, the company was

previously located in Bordsley.

In addition to the relocation of some existing

plant and equipment, Midland Paint and Powder Coaters has invested in a number

of new, state-of-the-art, production items.

These include two high specification

spraybooths and a high temperature oven designed and

manufactured by Delta Process Systems Ltd,

located in Hamstead, Birmingham.

The design of the spraybooth reflects the requirements of modern day paint shops, including the waterwash extract system, which embodies optimum standards of filtration, enhanced control over safety standards and reduced maintenance – leading to better protection of the local environment and improved up-time. The waterwash system is unique to Delta and offers much greater levels of filtration and easier access to parts such as the spray nozzles, allowing them to be quickly changed if they get blocked, thus minimising downtime.

The exhaust chamber provides the very highest standard of particulate removal and protection of the local environment. It features a galvanized steel enclosure housing and a series of large tubes through which the exhaust air passes. Each tube has a special spray nozzle mounted above the outlet specially designed to give high efficiency air washing.

Above the cleanable eliminators plates are ‘Aqua-Drift’ replaceable eliminators, which further reduce the chance of paint/water escaping into the atmosphere.

The spraybooths are fitted with an inverter to allow airflows to be adjusted to suit solvent wet paint spraying and powder spraying, thus saving on energy and powder efficiency.

Each box oven operates at the high temperatures required for powder coating finishes and include very accurate temperature control via high efficiency burners together with control over the internal airflows to ensure a guaranteed cure is achieved at all times. The ovens use high grade RW5 insulation and the latest gas burner designs to ensure that running costs are kept to a minimum.

Delta Process Systems has over 35 years’ experience in the design, manufacture, project and site management of quality plant for product finishing, painting and powder coating installations. These include systems for the automotive, plastics, wood and MDF, metal fabrication and fabrics industries. The company’s product range embraces spray and dip pretreatment plant, drying and curing ovens, manual and automatic spraybooths and paint application equipment, sludge removal and effluent treatment plant, and conveyors.

Above the air scrubber sections are banks of water eliminator plates. Access doors are provided within the rear wall of the washing chamber to allow removal of the eliminator plates for maintenance purposes.
