sanitation solutions for the industrial and institutional market, announced today the availablity of a new phenolic disinfectant: PD-128.

In order to keep current with the ever- changing landscape of infection control, Spartan is introducing a new intermediate- level, cleaner disinfectant, that is effective against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms and viruses. PD-128, is an effective tuberculo- cide, bactericide, virucide and fungicide, carries a claim for Canine Parvovirus, and is compliant with OSHA’s Blood Borne Pathogen Standard making it suitable for use in human and animal health facilities. “While quaternary based disinfectants are a viable option for most disinfect- ing jobs, there are cases where infection control personnel prefer a phenolic,” says Greg Ford, VP of Sales for Spartan Chem- ical Company. “Our PD-128 is designed for these specialized cases where a higher level of disinfection is required like surgi- cal rooms, critical care areas and animal health facilities.” Spartan’s PD-128 is formulated to pro- vide efficacy claims relevant to current industry conditions including 22 strains of bacteria, 14 viruses, and 2 types of fungi. Offered in a concentrate, PD-128 deliv- ers an effective solution at an exceptional end-use value. To find a distributor near you visit
