ETTING to the heart of paper is the reasoning behind Antalis UK’s new range of tactile products for the greetings card market.

To meet a growing demand from the industry

for quality, textured, bright white boards, they’ve launched the new Heart range, which is aimed at greetings card printers and publishers. There are two products, Heart Felt is a

textured, uncoated board, while Heart Felt Gloss is a textured board with a delicate lick coating. The new range has already found favour with a number of publishers, including Powys-based Dog’s Paw, a full-service greetings card design and publishing company that sells direct to retailers.

The Dog’s Paw team were so taken with the Heart range that they have already ordered the Heart Felt board for a product line launching early in 2014.

Owner Martin Eaglen said: “We’ll be using Heart Felt for a new female range that we’ll be launching early next year. It has a touchy-feely texture, which our customers love. It’s a good, bright white, and it also prints remarkably well on our digital press. “Other factors that make it

such a great product for us is that it takes foil nicely and folds well. All in all, it’s a great board - just what the industry needs.” Natalie Thomas, Antalis Marketing Manager, said: “We chose the Heart brand name to convey the passion we have for the greetings card industry and these products. “The greetings card industry

has a real appetite for textured boards with brilliant whiteness. “At the same time there is also demand for sharper images but with a textured feel, which is why we launched Heart Felt Gloss, to complement the uncoated paper.

“Publishers want textured and brighter boards to give them a better fi nish, and this range perfectly complements these requirements.” Samples of the new products are available

on request as earlier this year, Antalis launched the Complete Greetings Card Collection, a beautifully-crafted A5 ring-bound swatch, displaying their comprehensive range of papers, board and speciality grades for the greetings card community.

Natalie added: “The Greetings Card Collection has been hugely popular with greetings card printers and publishers and we wanted to boost the range even further to ensure we’re fully catering to the demands of the entire sector.” T: 0870 600 4400 www.greetingscards-antalis.co.uk www.antalis.co.uk
